AFC Morda United is delighted to confirm a significant new investment from local businessmen and lifelong supporters Tom Brown and Phil Brown, marking the beginning of an ambitious new chapter in the club’s history.

The father-and-son partnership combines strong community ties with proven business success. Tom Brown, a former Morda United player and owner of The Meat Man, has joined forces with Phil Brown, owner of The Food Trader, to provide strategic financial backing aimed at restoring the club’s competitive edge and long-term sustainability.

This investment is designed to support development both on and off the pitch, including strengthening the playing squad, enhancing training and matchday facilities, supporting youth progression pathways, and improving overall operational infrastructure.

For Tom Brown, the move represents a deeply personal commitment.

“Morda United means a great deal to me. I spent many proud years here as a player, and the club helped shape who I am. To now be in a position where I can give something back is incredibly rewarding. To do this alongside my Dad makes it even more meaningful. We believe this club can achieve great things again.”

Phil Brown added:

“Morda United is at the heart of this community. We want to help build something stable and ambitious for the long term. Our goal is not just short-term success, but creating a strong foundation that players, supporters, and future generations can be proud of.”

The club has commented:

"Having Tom and Phil on board gives us a wonderful opportunity to build a partnership with one of our towns fantastic local businesses, and with a personal connection to our history this a great driver to get the club back to where it should be. A football clubs biggest supporters are their investors and with Tom and Phil also joining the club committee we look forward to honouring their faith in this project with hard graft and a shared determination to create something lasting."
