Joe Brown: Agreement Reached

Morda United can announce that Goalkeeper Joe Brown has agreed a deal in principal to sign for the club for the 2026/2027 season.

Brown will arrive with experience having previously played in the North West Counties league and Midland Premier League.

The ex Ellesmere Rangers, Rock Rovers and Saha stopper said "It's been a couple of years since I’ve played properly and Morda United seemed like the perfect opportunity to get back into the game with a great coaching lineup and lots of possibilities for the club to go far. I'm looking forward to getting started with the lads."

Brown has not been without his gloves recently however, as he's been keeping wicket in the higher echilons of the Shropshire County Cricket League.  He'll swap whites for blue and yellow when the transfer window opens on June 1st.

Manager Nathan Bartram said, "Joe is someone I outlined as a key target from the start. He's got experience and the Montgomeryshire League will be perfect for his return to football. He'll be a valuable member of the dressing room and is the sort of character we want in there. I'm looking forward to working with him on a football field having also shared a cricket field with him for many years."

The club can currently only make agreements with non attached players, with the window opening in June for those players who are currently playing with other clubs.
